Its refreshing to travel from St John's city through the country roads, with a bunch of friends to remote magic locations like this. The view itself is worth the 180 km travel from the city.

A must see in Newfoundland. Wear hiking or running shoes. Bring binoculars! No dogs allowed.

This is a must do for nature lovers. The birds will fly right above you. Binoculars are handy to view the hundreds of birds nesting on the cliffs. You can get up close to the gannets. Note that there are no barriers at the edge of the cliff. May not be a good option for people with small children or people with mobility issues. No wheelchair access to the site. Wear hiking shoes and dress warmly (hat, scarf, gloves and layers). There was no wind when I went in May but was still quite cold. Early morning was a good time. No crowds

Went late in season so many of the birds had migrated but there were still a ton of northern gannets.

Got there on a sunny day. 2023 Spring had been much less foggy than usual. Tens of thousands of sea birds nesting now. A few chicks have hatched.

Awesome experience, you don't see a bird colony like that often, not to mention gannetes. Beautiful birds. The only problem is a long drive. There's nothing else interesting there. In case of bad weather you might waste time and gas for nothing. Fogs are occuring here very often.

Even though the fog was quite thick, we enjoyed just seeing the gannets and razorbills on the cliff face and flying in to land. Well worth the 20 minute easy hike out.

Astonishing place to be, you will be taken by the beauty of thousands of gannet birds and their dancing sounds, it was very windy during my visit in October, some birds were enjoying flying through the wind, the others were hiding on the backside of the rock just facing where you can sit down and enjoy some lovely creatures.

i've never seen so many birds one place.very stinky, but worth it to see the birds.expected only seagulls but saw four kinds of birds.trail is pretty easy.
