Tony and Nina are truly wonderful guides and teachers! My wife and I have gone out with them many times, starting 6 years ago. I remember being very impressed on our first trip that Tony heard a Black-billed Cuckoo off in the distance and was able to find it for us to see! I've learned so much about birding and photography from them both, but of course there's still lots to learn and we'll be out with them again! Here's a couple of bird photos I've taken on trips to Algonquin Park with them: a Black-backed Woodpecker and a Canada Jay.

I really enjoyed my tour with Nina and Tony . They are professional, reliable, polite, friendly, They found and identified far more species of birds quickly , more than I could have done on my own. Tony was willing to help with my camera settings for backlit shots and gave suggestions for better photos. He even sent us a couple of birds we could not get a good shot of.photos we could not take with our own cameras.. They provided walkie talkies, during our travel time, and were attentive to our needs. They also provided a close up for viewing telescope for distant birds, such as Tundra swans. I would recommend Always an Adventure because it is a fun adventure with Nina and Tony!

Tony and Nina are extremely professional, educated and fun. Their excursions are always a highlight of my year. I have learned so much from their expertise. Going on an adventure with them is fun and you'll learn so much.

I always have an adventure when I go out with Tony and Nina! They are wonderfully positive and upbeat, making every outing lots of fun and a tremendous learning experience. Tony Beck and Nina Stavlund are the most ethical and best photographers in Ottawa. I have gone on many birding excursions with them. They are very professional yet treat you like family. We have visited places like Algonquin Park, Parc Omega, Amherst Island, Sunflower farms, Gatineau Escarpment and surrounding areas.Tony and Nina both are excellent teachers and informative. I have become a much better photographer, and my ability to identify birds has become much better because of the birding excursions I have been on. It's been a few years now, but when I'm in Ottawa I try to find time to go on a birding excursion with Tony and Nina. They really, really know their birds, where to find them and how to identify them, and they do a great job of sharing their knowledge with the group.
